Freshman Requirements • Rank in the top 25% of your graduating class. • SAT – 1500 out of 2400 (Verbal + Math + Writing) • ACT – 18 English, 21 Reading, 22 Mathematics and 24 Science • 2 years of the same foreign language • 4 years of Science (Two courses must come from Biology I, Chemistry I, and Physics I plus two additional courses meeting the recommended or advanced/distinguished curriculum) • 4 years of Mathematics (Must include Algebra I and II, Geometry and a fourth math course. Applicants are encouraged to take math each year of high school culminating with a course for which Algebra II is a prerequisite.) • 4 years of English
AP Policy Texas A&M University accepts many of the AP exams for credit hours. Students that have scored a 3, 4, or a 5 on AP exams may receive the appropriate amount of credit hours. For most exams scoring a 4 or a 5 is necessary to receive credit hours. A 4 on most exams can get you 3 credit hours while a 5 may get 4 to 6 credit hours.
