The Fit Method F-Find a book that looks interesting I-Investigate by reading a little of the book to see if it is too hard or too easy T-Try the book out or trade the book in The Five Finger Test Pick a page that has a lot of text Read the page. Put up one finger up for each word you do not know. If you have all five fingers up, the book is too difficult. If you have no fingers up, the book maybe too easy. If you have one to three fingers up, the book maybe perfect.
