  3. eLandings – Project Goals • One-stop reporting of landings and production to multiple agencies electronically • Increases timeliness and accuracy of fisheries data entry • Creates an electronic record of landings and production that may be extracted by processors and agency staff • Designed to provide immediate access to electronically submitted fish ticket data. • Accommodates conventional paper fish tickets.

  4. eLandings – Project goals • Thin client technology accommodates remote areas with low bandwidth. • Processed fish tickets are uploaded into the fish ticket system of record every 15 minutes. • Internet platform allows greater access to authorized users: • Agency staffs • Processors • Alaska Wildlife Troopers • NMFS Enforcement

  30. tLandings • Parent Operation and sub-operations established in eLandings • Thumb drives configured and landings uploaded to eLandings from the Processor Tender Interface • tLandings application is loaded onto the thumb drive, with the catcher vessel list and the species list during the configuration process • Each thumb drive is configured for a specific tender sub-operation and the users associated with that sub-operation.

  31. tLandings Equipment • Tender • Laptop • Inexpensive Laser Printer – plain paper • Magnetic Card Swipe Reader • Thumb drives – provided by ADFG • Shoreside Processor • Internet Connection • Operation and User Accounts

  32. tLandings Benefits to Processor: • Improved data quality • Automated overlimits documentation • Automated updates on mixed salmon • Legible paper fish tickets • XML data interface facilitates one time data entry • Correct addition – tally, price, summaries • Electronically generated summary and trip log reports • Automated reports to ADFG • Ability to correct fish tickets within eLandings

  33. tLandings Benefits for ADFG: • Timely data • Reduced data entry • Improved data quality • Consolidated reports to ADFG • Integration with other reports • Weekly catch reports • Finals season reports • COAR report • Paperless archives
