  8. The very hungry caterpillar ate lots of food!

  9. He was a big, fat caterpillar now! My tummy hurts now!

Notes • We talked about insects and what they knew (current work in class) • Read the story together (familiar text) • How do we spell one, two, three, four, five? • Introduced the slides in ‘slide sorter view’ and the task • Make sure they highlight the box before typing ! (Demo) • More able could put in their own words (with help) • Some needed support with inserting text • 20 mins for the IT task. • Show the whole story in ‘slide show ’ after IT task + shared reading • Whole session took 40-45 mins • This was done with 6 children and laptops • Potential for use with IWB • Would have used Textease but not available on these particular laptops
