  6. The Football Association (FA) • Formed 1863 • Formation of schools that wanted to standardize the rules • Met from Oct-Dec • First set of comprehensive rules

  7. The FA Cup • Started by C. W. Alcock • First match in 1972 • Scotland vs. England • Huge advocate for the game of soccer in England • Wanted it to be more international

  8. FIFA • Formed in Paris 1904 • Included the IFAB in 1913 • This oversees all the Laws of the Game • Governing body for football throughout the world • 240 million people play • 200 countries
