History • Lima the capital of Perú was founded on January 5th 1535 • Lima was founded by Franciso Pizarro • The population of Lima is 7,443,000 • Roman Catholic 81%, Seventh Day Adventist 1.4%, other Christian 0.7%, other 0.6%, unspecified or none 16.3% • The history of Lima is mostly about wars and helping other countries in wars. In 1879, Perú went to was with Chile to aid Bolivia.

Geography • Location: Western South America, bordering the South Pacific Ocean, between Chile and Ecuador • Climate: Varies from tropical in east to dry desert in the west • Wildlife: Turtles, Reptiles, Monkeys, Aratinga and Black head Parrots, Añujes and Deers • Plant life: One of the most famous plants is the Puya Raimondii, This plant grows for about 60 to 75 years as a rosette of leaves, Then forming a trunk up to 15 feet tall and 10 feet wide.

To honor the Sun God, people sacrifice an animal to ensure good crops and to pay homage to the Icna, as the first born Son of the Sun

Primary education is imparted in native langues
