Summary • After Amir weds Soraya in her home, she moves in with Amir and Baba as she focuses on taking care of Baba. One night, Baba peacefully dies in his sleep. He has a funeral and all the people he’s helped over the years arrive. Amir learns more about Soraya’s family and her dark past. At the end of the chapter, there is a sadness as Amir realizes it will be nearly impossible to have children.
