What Makes LD Different? • Should the United States treat violent juveniles as it treats adult offenders? • LD resolution : • In the United States, juveniles charged with violent felonies ought to be treated as adults in the criminal justice system. • Policy resolution: • In the United States, it should be the policy of the criminal justice system to proseccute juveniles charged with violent felonies through the criminal justice system.   8. AC • Deliver AC, after asking “Jugde(s) ready? Is my opponent ready?” • End by saying “I now stand ready for Cross-Examination” No Limits Debate Camp

NX • Open with a strong question you have pre-written • Go down the flow OR hit weakness in their case • Yes and No questions, avoid open-ended ones? • Stand next to your opponent, look at judge • Make notes of concessions and contradictions. • Ask why as a follow-up when you sense a weakness in your opponents reply. NC • Deliver your NC • First 3 minutes or so, give your case • Last 4 minutes or so attack their case, going down the flow or hitting weakness • ALWAYS attack the VC and do so comparatively, unless you have the same one or a very similar one • End by saying “I now stand ready for cross examination.” No Limits Debate Camp

  11. AX • Open with a strong question you have pre-written • Go down the flow OR hit weakness in their case or their attack on your case. • Yes and No questions, avoid open-ended ones?   12. 1AR • Open by explaining why you are winning – I am winning this debate at this point because… • State, warrant and impact your strongest standing argument – the one they dropped, whatever • Now go down the flow hitting the most important clashes and explaining how you win them or you outweigh or they don’t matter • End by summarizing and asking for the ballot. • “I urge an affirmative ballot” No Limits Debate Camp

  14. 2AR • You probably CAN’T go down the flow – you have 3 minutes to win the debate • After sign-posting , tell the judge either: • I am winning this round because….
