Is it really Bullying? There are 3 Ps to remember….. • POWER – Do you feel like the other person has more power than you? Are you scared of him/her or just mad at him/her? • PURPOSE – Do you think the other person did it on purpose or could it be an accident? • PATTERN – Did it happen just once or 3 or more days/times in a row?
What are some Examples? • NOT INCLUDING SOMEONE • TAUNTING • THREATENING • GESTURES CAN BE CONSIDERED BULLYING • (Example: ROLLING EYES)

How Do You Report Bullying? • Think about whether it is bullying or normal friend fighting. • Fill out a bullying report form and give it to your teacher. http://williamses.schools.pwcs.edu/ 9/14/2014 9
What Can You Do About It? • Stand up for yourself and others who are being teased or picked on. • Use your words, “please leave me alone.” • Don’t be a bystander, be an “upstander.”

Tier Level Infractions • Tier 1 (first offense): phone call to parent and fill out reflection form. • Tier 2 (2 offenses): lunch detention for the 1st offense and after school detention for 2nd offense for Tier 2. * • Tier 3 (first offense): out of school suspension or in school suspension. * *phone call to parent and reflection form 9/14/2014
