What is Mobile Computing? • Definition : Any software apps/hardware devices running on mobile phones, tablets and even laptops. • Widespread usage of smart phones (1.75 billion est.) and tablets generate a huge market for apps (more than a million Android apps). • DIP project can be based on Android, i0S, Windows 8 or others!

  3. Andriod Apps Development • It is EASY !!! • A 9 year old in Singapore (as in 2009), Lim Ding Wen, became the world’s youngest iphone app developer. His app Doodle Kids was downloaded 880000 times by 2010. • Thomas Suarez, 12 year old, developed BustinJieber app. • No need for PhD students to guide you. Many online resources/Courses available!

It is possible to get rich! • In 2013, 17-year-old Nick D'Aloisio sold his app Summly to Yahoo for USD 30 million plus a job offer from Yahoo. • Whatsapp sold recently for USD 19 billion. • It is easy to start an app company as the Android development suite is free. The iOS development suite is not very expensive too. • The low capital layout required allows you to become a technopreneur. • Immediate access to the entire global market.

  5. How to develop a good app? • It must be FUN or USEFUL! • INNOVATION is the key here. • Example: An App for Language Translation is very useful for tourist in a foreign country.
