  2. Bar Graphs aren’t very good at showing change over time. Why? Line graphs and Scatter Plots are often preferred for showing change. Scatter Plots are usually used for looking for relationships between variables. As we look at these next few slides, think about the STORY that led to each graph. Think about what each graph shows, but also what they don’t show.
