Smart teacher features Smart Override If a student forgets their card or mis-uses another student’s card, the present lecturer can manually override marks to issue correct mark. Staff Room Mode Teachers can access registers, timetables and attendance marks and produce reports. Reports A multitude of reports are available, showing recorded attendance data, history and statistics. Access to reports can be restricted to senior staff or to certain departments, such as Student Services and Registry for example.
Extra features Timetable Display Staff can view both staff and students' timetables (given the appropriate rights). Even from within a live register the tutor can see a student's previous attendance history. This can be a very helpful pastoral tool in spotting poor attendance. If problems are identified early on they can be dealt with much more effectively. Security The system is usually configured to log out quickly if there is no activity taking place. The lecturer can also lock the register using their card. This is to prevent students tampering.
