  4. The Pioneering Quality Librarians at SLWA Position created in 2006 as part of a restructure of library operations. Vision for the Role: “ensures quality and integrity of data on the library management system”.

  5. The first quality librarian sat with cataloguing staff in the Access team and was originally a cataloguer. Library - 1920s 001906d

  6. 2nd incarnation - a shared role between two part-time staff, one an ex-cataloguer - the other took a more global approach to the Data. The development secretary of the Overseas League, London (Commander D. Kinloch), pointing to Australia on a map at a luncheon in Perth 17 April 1950. 255594PD

  7. Shared System Project with Dept. of Health Agreed standards for all common data not just bibliographic – covers item, check-in, order records. Clean up of data to meet standards New tools – Statistics, Global update.
