  2. What is SAP? SAP is an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP system) which maintains all of a company’s and business processes. SAP is a German multinational software company that makes software to manage business operations and customer relations. It is an ERP software consisting of several integrated modules giving business solutions.

  3. What are the different courses offered by SAP? a. Sales and Distribution (SAP SD): These modules deal in handling all activities ranging from inquiry rise, proposals, quotations, pricing, and many more. The sales and distribution module helps exceedingly in inventory control and management. Some of the sub-components of the SD module are master data, sales support, sales, shipping and transportation, billing, credit management, sales information system and many more. SD module consists of original data, system configuration, and transactions. b. Financial Accounting & Controlling (SAP FICO): The controlling module facilitates one to plan, track, perform and record about costs. Financial Accounting module helps one to get the live monetary position of an industry in the market. It involves systems to observe and order costs that are needed for financial recording.

  4. c. Production Planning (SAP PP): This module covers software outlined precisely for production planning and management. This module also consists of master data, system configuration, and transactions. It helps to fulfill the planning system for production. While working towards production management in enterprises, PP module help with master data, sales, and operations planning, distribution resource planning, material requirements planning, product cost planning and so on. d. Material Management (SAP MM): This module handles materials needed, processed and produced in companies. Some of the popular sub-components in MM module are merchant master data, consumption-based planning, purchasing, catalog management, invoice confirmation and many more. Different types of acquisition processes are controlled by this system.
