Nitrogen cycle. By : Andrea Ramirez. Ecological function. Is a component in all amino acids that composed the proteins . The nutrients are needed for plant nutrition and there also used for pharmaceutical application such as depression and parkingson treatment .

  5. Nitrogenfixation • In thisprocess ,N2 ischangesinto NO3(nitrate). • By 2 ways: • Bylightning strikes • Bydecomposers (in this case bacterias)

  6. Nitrification • Processwhichconvertammonia (NH4) tonitrites(NO2) and thentonitrate(NO3) • Plantsabsorbnitrogenbythisprocess. • Thisisperformby bacteria such as: • Nitrosomas • Nitrobacter

  7. Denitrification • Istheprocessbywhich bacteria convertsnitrate (NO3) to N2 • (completingthenitrogencycle)

  8. Ammonification • Istheprocessthatconvert amino (NH2 or NH) toammonium (NH4). • Thishappendwhen a plantor animal diesoran animal createwastes.
