SENATE BILLS SB 141– Speech Language Pathologists • Exempts TSPC Licensed Speech Language Pathologists (Communications Disorders) from licensure by the state Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology • Only allows if working for public school, ESD, or charter school • Allows supervision of SLPA’s if comply with BESLPA rules and statutes
SENATE BILLS SB 141– Speech Language Pathologists • SLPA Supervision • New proposed rules (Hearing July 20) require basic, standard, initial or continuing license with speech disorders or communications disorders endorsements to supervise SLPA’s • Also requires minimum of 2 years experience if licensed after 1999; five years experience if licensed prior to 1999.
