  2. ¿Dónde?: Celebrated in almost all Spanish-speaking countries, each with their own twist • ¿Por qué?: Celebrates the birth of Christ and the arrival of the three wise men • ¿Quién?: Celebrates the three wise men (los tres reyes magos) arrive bearing gifts for Jesus Christ in Bethlehem – Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar • ¿Cuándo?: January 6th (12 days after Christmas)

  3. Kids write letters to their favorite king about what they want to receive on the 6th - Melchor, Gaspar or Baltasar • On the night of the 5th, kids put their shoes by the door • Kids put out food for the traveling kings and grass for the camels • If they’re good, they receive their gifts from the kings. If they’re bad, they get coal • All the food for the kings and camels is missing in the morning
