  2. Introduction • There are MANY THINGS we regard worthy of doing for the Lord. • What is your UNDERLYING foundation in all these things. • In the midst of all – Only one thing is WORTH

  3. CONTEXT • The Lord appointed and sent them into village..10:1 • The Lord taught a parable..10:26 • The Lord entered a village..10:38 • I am knocking at the door……Rev 3:20

  4. WELCOMER • Martha welcomed Him into her home.. 10:38c • No prophet is welcome…Luke 8:40 • In every nation those who fear Him and does right is welcome to Him. Acts 10: 35 • …….I will come in Rev 3:20b

  5. WORSHIPPER • Mary choose not to miss to WORSHIP the Lord • Mary commune with the Lord..10:39, John 11:32, & John 12:3… • Mary was commented …choose the good part…..v42 • I will dine with him..he with me….Rev 3:20c

  6. WORKER • Maratha was distracted….with all her preparations 10:40a • Maratha was complaining.. 10: 40c • Maratha, Maratha, you are worried and bothered..many things 10:41 • Maratha welcomed but did not dine.. 10:41

  7. CONCLUSION • Mary did not miss her devotional life.. • Maratha neglected her devotional life… • Mary was blessed and Maratha was busy. • But only one thing is WORTH…..without which we cannot BE BLESSED John 15:5
