Paper history and status • Submitted on October 6th 2010 – doc db 4855 • Referee report on November 4th 2010 • Revised and resubmitted on January 4th 2011 • Waiting for 2nd referee report • Major changes: discussion on star-gal separation, supression of section on GC tidal tails, separate section on Trilegal kinematics, revisions to text
DC5 reports • June 2010: Dark Energy Survey Data Challenge 5 - 1st report – assessment of photometry, astrometry and proper motions in DC5A and DC5B doc-db DES-doc-4919 • October 2010: Dark Energy Survey Data Challenge 5 - 2nd report – photometry on DC5B data quality tiles, solution to proper motions bug, star-galaxy separation (on DC5B2) doc-db DES-doc-4909 4
Contribution to DC6Stars truth table • Plan circulated to Data Challenge group (Aug 5th): Galactic stars (with AddStar), globular cluster (plus tidal tail) and a MW satellite • 1st version of DC6 stellar truth table sent to des-sim (Sep 18th) • Small corrections made (Sep 22nd ) 7

On-going or future action • To perfect AddStar and fully integrate AddClus, Sparse, FindSat pipelines to Brazil portal. • Improve star-galaxy separation at faint mag levels • Assess the efficiency of an object classification based on PDFs • Understand the selection function of new MW clusters and satellites • Continue to run PRAIA on DC images and incorporate it to Brazil Portal. • Implement a photometric parallax code • Contribute with stars and to star-galaxy messing up in BCC 13
