  1. Prophet Sulayman Learning objectives:- 1- To highlight Allah’s blessings upon Sulayman. 2-To learn about Prophet Sulayman story with The queen of Saba’.

  2. 1- Who was Sulayman? • Sulayman was Dawud’s son. After the death of Dawud, his son Sulayman became a king. He was chosen from among Dawud’s other sons as successor.

  3. 2- Recount Allah’s blessing upon Sulyman? • 1- Allah gave Sulyman sound judgment, fine understanding and deep knowledge • 2- He knew the language of birds and animals. • 3- To him Allah subjected the winds. They blew at his command and carried him from place to place so that he reached his destination quickly. • 4- Allah also subjected to him strong and clever jinn and rebellious Satans. They obeyed his command and carried out his building plans. • 5-Allah made a fount of molten brass to flow for him.

  4. 3-Sulyman was always grateful to Allah for his blessings. He smiled at the ant’s words and prayed that he would always be grateful to Allah for the humblest of Allah’s creatures.

  5. 4- What information did the hoopoe bring about the city of Saba? Where was it located? It is a faraway city. The people there are very wealthy and their queen sits on a magnificent throne. But they worship the sun as God. Saba was a city in Yemen, about 75 KM from the city of Sana. It is located in what is now Hadramawt.

  6. 5-What did the Queen of Saba and her people worship? They worshipped the sun and treat the sun as God. 6- Why did Sulyman write a letter to the Queen of Saba? He wrote her a letter to call on her to believe in Allah and worship only Him.

  7. 7- How did the Queen and her courtiers react? • She told her most intelligent counselors that she had received a unique letter from Sulayman calling them to Allah. Her courtiers wanted to go to war. But she decided to send Sulayman a valuable gifts. • 8- What did the Queen send to Sulayman? • She sent him valuable gifts.
