Who we are… • Laura Dooley –Taylor has been a Library Media Specialist at Cumberland School in District 62 for 3 years and a Media Specialist for 6 years. • Heidi Steigerwald has been a Library Media Specialist at Forest School in District 62 for 5 years.
Goals for this presentation • To educate teachers on multicultural literature and resources for assessment strategies for ELL students. • To inform teachers about Media Center support and ELL success. • To provide an interactive online resource community to promote dialog and discussion on current ELL topics of research.

Provides a list of great ways to engage ELLs in speaking activities in your classroom such as the use of puppets, drama, talking books, and story cubes. When you click on the link educators find an appropriate age range and lesson plan for the activity.
