  3. -FY-2010: Lincoln installed two IPAK TF-300CT tray formers. Along with these tray formers, an automated conveying system was installed to distribute formed boxes to the lines demanding them. -By changing the amount of corrugate used in our S-11 and S-6 boxes, we were able to reduce the carbon footprint through the life cycle of manufacturing the cardboard. This includes reductions in raw materials and energy used to create the material. -An added benefit from this project was the reduction of operation’s labor needed to assemble and prepare boxes

Calculated Reductions • -Wood Reduction To Produce Corrugate = 552 tons = 25.5% • -Net Energy to Produce Corrugate = 7,451 MM BTU’s = 25.5% • -Greenhouse Gas to Produce Corrugate = 1,269,550 lbs CO2 = 25.5% • -Wastewater at Corrugate Plant = 2,093,468 gallons = 25.5% • -Solid Waste Reduction at Corrugate Plant =259,657 lbs = 25.5% • -Carbon Footprint Reduction = 0.97 lbs CO2 = 25.3% • -Non Renewable Energy Savings = 8.83 MBTU = 25.3% • -Renewable Energy Savings = 10.52 MBTU = 25.6%

  6. Savings Defined • Savings were projected from FY09 Production total of 119,298,343 pounds. First year use of IPAKs, production was down 7,285,250 pounds.
