ASL 1 Doorbuster- Please get the test practice handout;Copy these notes in purple & black below: (numbers test = next Monday, April 29) • Numbers: #1-#5 palm-in (unless in a series like 2067); • know numbers 1 to 1 million • Time: start at the wrist (always palm out); • #1-9 numerical incorporation: Time 1-9 o’clock start with number handshape at wrist • Age: start at the chin • #1-9 numerical incorporation: #1-9 start with number at chin; others= AGE+# • Money: DOLLAR, CENTS • #1-9 numerical incorporation: twist dollars in, twist back out with the change
Additional Numbers Information- ASL 1: • Know numbers 1-30 well ---study!!! • Double numbers: 33,44, 55, etc. • Numbers with movement: • -small to large: 67,68,69, 78, 79… • -large to small: 76,86, 87, 96, 97, 98 • Know the “Rule of 9” =numerical incorporation • Not on test (but good to know) --- • Cardinal (1,2,3,…) vs. ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd, …)
ASL 1- Today: • 1. Doorbuster • 2. Numbers test- practice/learn- alone/in teams- try it! • 3. Comp. books- test grade, grade recovery • 4. Ticket Out– animals PowerPoint • Reminder: Testing Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday- sign-in at cafeteria (if not testing), until testing is over. • *Note: Your comp. books will be checked one more time for the 6th six weeks test grade. Then, you will need to keep your comp. book safe for next year- you may take it home over the summer, but you will also have a chance to check them in with me for the summer, if you prefer to do so.
ASL 3-Today: (Friday- 10-15 min. for project work, then moving on - due next Thursday) • 1.Doorbuster- ask someone “How was your weekend?” • 2. Quick Classifier example for test next Monday. • 3. Project time. • (also, as ready--Story Boards- teams who did not sign them yet, finish and present) • Reminder: Testing this Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday- sign-in at cafeteria (if not testing), until testing is over (no ASL 3 class). Testing 1st-4th; Regular schedule begins for 5th-7th periods on these days.
