Graphic Organizers Participants will use a web-based graphic organizer, such as WEBSPIRATION, to develop the unit for explaining the major differences between poems, drama, and prose. Graphic organizers and diagrams help students & teachers develop and brainstorm ideas, gather/organize information, build comprehension, develop written ideas, & increase achievement.
Webspiration Designed for teachers and students in grades 5-12, Webspiration Classroom™ provides a safe and reliable online learning environment that helps students improve their writing and thinking skills. Allows students to: - brainstorm ideas - gather/organize information - build comprehension - develop written ideas - increase achievement Outlining and organizing information by using webbing, concept mapping and other graphic organizers.
Google Account Participants will create individual Google email accounts. All documents from this workshop will be shared via Google Docs and will be permanently available for all participants to download. https://www.google.com/
Google Account • Access https://www.google.com/ • Click on “Add Account” • Complete personal information, including selection of a gmail email address • Add your name and new gmail e-mail address to Participant List to receive an invite to the shared documents from this workshop • Log into your new account and Click on “Drive” across the top of the screen once you’ve accepted shared documents. This is where your documents will be saved.
