3. “Stepping Up to New Opportunities” “The New Entrepreneurial Hope: Innovation, Empowerment and Passion” - Mark Burwell • E-Hub’s signature entrepreneur series is the starting point for exploring opportunities in entrepreneurship, as well as those already in business who need to reboot or launch their business. • We’ve assembled a dedicated team of business leaders, CEO’s, attorneys and accountants who voluntarily serve as presenters, many of whom are alumni and successful entrepreneurs themselves. • “Stepping Up to New Opportunities” has several objectives: • Determine the feasibility of your concept to the marketplace • Develop the foundation of a business plan • Understand Strategic Planning • Discuss and analyze hundreds of small business issues and challenges • Learn about innovation and leadership principles Each topic is designed to build on the previous one to be sure you have a good understanding of how to overcome the obstacles and barriers confronted by small business. Certificates are offered upon completion of the program.

The Legacy Lives On… Legendary Green Bay Packer and NFL player, Reggie White and his wife Sara, had a vision of empowering aspiring entrepreneurs to realize their dreams of owning and operating their own business. The vision has manifested into an outstanding foundation of empowered entrepreneurs who have developed self-sufficiency and now feel a sense of giving back that is necessary to the free enterprise system. This vision is now called the “Power of 92”. • Instilling social values, leadership and solid business ethics • Being a resource center and compass to send clients to service providers, other businesses and government agencies • Creating and fostering entrepreneurial networks and partnerships • Stimulating a local culture of leadership, innovation and small business advocacy • Innovative “hands-on” training to spur economic development • Teaching social enterprising and a sense of giving back to the community • Instilling and teaching how to mentor and establish a peer-to-peer network to develop true empowerment and self-reliance • Exposure to new ideas, creative thinking and researching best practices

Building a Community of Innovation The E-Hub’s mission is dedicated to helping empower people, entrepreneurs, and their communities through innovation. • The objectives: • Cultivate and reward the champions of innovation. • Community and corporate leaders need to invest in the innovative ecosystem. It is a call to be active. • Fostering creativity will build on ideas and empower all people with the ability to express and use their creative talent to become power citizens. • Tap into: • Social enterprising to create a community of value taking • Invest in a community of quality • Feature the arts • Open and green spaces • Vibrant downtowns • Tap into the creative talent out of the community youth – challenge them • to be entrepreneurial. • Embrace diversity • Build on peoples backgrounds, ideas, talents to flourish and enrich their communities • We need to support and acknowledge the “cupiders”. We want to foster collaboration to get everyone in the game. • Business industry, government, non-profit and educational leaders must be stewards of innovation to adapt to our needs
