1. Precious Moments Preschool Newsletter February 2010 This months field trip is to Great Way Martial Arts located at 2243 Leckie Rd. If you can help us drive there please sign up on the parent board. Please sign up even if you are only planning to drive your child, it helps us to know if we have enough drivers to make the trip possible. We will be leaving at 9:30 for a 10:00 appointment time for the morning classes and at 12:30 for a 1:00 appointment time for the afternoon class. Please let us know if you just planning to met up there. Happy Birthday to: Lauren T Tyson N Zack H There will be no school on Friday February 19 as all of the teachers will be in pro-day meetings. Have a great long weekend. There is a new class list attached to your newsletter if you would like to do valentines. There will be bags in the hallway on Grandparents day to place them in. This is completely optional. Don’t forget advanced registration for the 2010-2011 year started on January 25 at 8:30 at the main office. This is for returning students and sibling and is from preschool all the way to grade 7. We will open all remaining spots to the public on Monday February 1. Be sure to tell your friends. Registration forms can also be printed off our website www.flcs.ca go to About FLCA and then to Registration. It’s time once again for our annual grandparents day. On Thursday February 11 for the Tuesday, Thursday preschool and on Friday February 12 for the rest of the classes it’s grandparents day. Please invite your grandma’s and grandpa’s, nana and papa’s and oma and opa’s to come for the last 45 minutes of class. This is at 10:30 for the morning groups and at 2:15 for the afternoon groups. We will be making cards for the mommy’s and daddy’s, decorating cookies and playing with our grandparents. If your child’s grandparents are not available to come to preschool feel free to invite a “pretend” grandparent. Don’t worry if you can not find a grandparent for your child as we will buddy them up with another grandparent and grandchild if we are short grandparents. There is always enough love to go around. Please talk to Lori if you have any questions. There are Scholastic book order forms with your newsletter. If you would like to order please have the form and cheque to your teacher by February 10. Cheques are made payable to Scholastics Canada and you only need to write one cheque, even if you order from all the clubs (elf, lucky,etc). We greatly appreciate you helping us build the school’s library, we are up to 15 free books we have already received.
