  1. The obfuscation of Class In Hollywood Films Paul Bennett Gournelos CMC 400

  2. Mashup • Medley of images, Media clips talking about class, movies and sitcoms talking about class spliced together, essentially a mashup with music.

  3. Mashup • Medley of images and Media clips will be approximately 2 mins. Long. This will be almost a music video. It will be used to grab the audiences attention.

  4. Intro • Introduction of director and editor and all of the teachers include with specific attention grabbing piece of the interview about American dream and class. This introduction will be about 30 seconds long.

  5. George Carlin • Next image stops turns to black screen abruptly audio is all you hear. You hear George Carlin speaking on the American Dream. • Music fades up ( probably sadder music, music that evokes certain feeling) • Then stops again abruptly. • This part of the film will be approximately1:30 seconds long

  6. Terms explained • Fades into pieces of each interview which interview, Explaining about the American dream, myth of classlessness, social mobility, and class. Every time the talk about one of the term the video pauses for a definition to pop on the screen. • This will be approx. 3 mins

  7. Interview • In the inter view with dr. Glennon I will speak for her and it will be spliced with b roll. • This should be approximately 2:30

  8. Graphics and Charts • The next image will be basic information and polls about the american dream and social mobility. This will be the graphic included in the project. It will be some sort of presi moving graphic of the information that I have gathered. Music will be playing in the background with captions explaining information. • This should be about 1:30

  9. Content Analysis • Then the content analysis and argument begin why and how is class obfuscate. Clips of teachers talking about the topic and every time they mention a movie b roll of the film they are speaking about. Video pauses and Quotes pop up when they mention something about class. 4 minsapprox

  10. Summation • The end of the movie will be a summarization of the information I went over by the ending of all the interviews • 1 min.

  11. Outro • The last clip will be another mash up with matching music of presidents and political figures and movies talking about the American dream. Then it will go to end credits. • 30 seconds
