This research focuses on the vulnerable domains in bilingual acquisition of Cantonese as a heritage language. Drawing on theories of first/second language acquisition, it aims to understand the directionality of transfer and the challenges faced by bilingual children. Inspired by "The Bilingual Child" (2007), Chapter 7, this study sheds light on the complexities of heritage language acquisition within the context of bilingualism research.
