National Teach Ag Campaign • State Teach Ag Results (STAR) Program • Deliberate and results driven program for selected states to develop a sustainable and effective recruitment and retention plan supported and guided by the National Teach Ag Campaign. • The first group of states have completed their initial assessment and planning meeting. (NC, MO, IL, NE, MS, NY, MN, KS, OR, IN, CA). STAR teams are finalizing their plans, determining a working budget and beginning to set their plans in motion this fall. • The next round of states will begin the process in December/January. They include ID, IA, PA and SD. There may be an opportunity for an additional 1-2 states in the January cohort. • The data collected from the 11 states is very telling. The main shortage problem does not appear to be retention based but rather recruitment based. States are implementing a variety of strategies to address this. The strategies will be shared in the coming months.

This will not be streamed and is by invitation only. • There are numerous engagement opportunities for Alumni, Current Teachers, Future Teachers and students.
