Mentre guardavo la televione ho mangiato la pizza. To express repeated action in the past. Io studiavo ogni sera fino a tardi. To describe persons or things in the past. Tu avevi una faccia triste prima di venire a scuola. To describe weather, time of day, age, and health in the past. Faceva bel tempo ieri. Erano le otto e mezzo quando è tornato a casa. Avevo tredici anni quando sono arrivato negli Stati Uniti. Francesca si sentiva male ieri sera.
