  3. METHOD PRIMARY DATA SECONDARY DATA Data already existing. Research or analysis can be done from this data. Can be obtained from the company. • First hand data collected for the first time.

  4. PRIMARY DATA COLLECTION METHOD • Interviews. • Questionnaire. • Focus Group Discussion. • In Depth interview. • Observation.

  5. PILOT STUDY • Research or study done before collecting the data. • Sample taken of 10% of the sample size desired. • Changes in questions can be made after doing pilot study. • Minimize problems while collecting information.

  6. QUESTIONS • Can be open ended or closed ended. • Includes biographical information about the employee.

  7. EXAMPLE QUESTIONS • Name- • Address , phone, email id- • Gender- • Age- • Number of members in the family- • Salary- • Position- • Number of years in the company- • Are you working under a supervisor? • Do you have any people working under you? • Do you think you would be paid more in another company?

  8. QUESTIONS • Select the most important reason why you are working in this company- money, satisfaction, stability, scope of career advancement, etc. • What should the company do to improve its human resource and ob practices? • Do you like the work environment? • Is the OB of this company better than the company in which you were previously working?

  9. Analysis • Analyze the data collected from the questionnaire. • Derive important results. • Make recommendations to improve.
