  36. The ticker

  37. Check if the post is public(Remember though, you can’t tell if a post is public on a mobile phone Facebook app)

  38. Example of an ‘unsafe’ post • I’m not friends with this person • My friend made a comment on his friend’s post • It appeared in my ticker • I could see it and comment on it • I could have been a policeman or his boss/teacher/weirdo/mum/ex . . etc

  39. Customise your post/status • To send a post to a particular person or ‘list’ of people • Click the custom drop down menu • Click custom

  40. Customise your post/status • Now you can make it visible to specific people or lists of people • Or hide it from specific people or lists of people • It will remember the last customisation you made and stick with it until you change it back • Note that anyone you tag by name in a post or comment can see that post even if they are not part of the list your posting to • The people not in the ‘make visible’ list or who are in the hide box, will still see your wall, but not that post. It will only appear to people you want it to

  49. The recent viral disclaimer post Will posting a notice on Facebook protect your privacy rights? http://snopes.com/computer/facebook/privacy.asp Viral disclaimer post “Although Facebook is now a publicly traded company, that has no affect on how it treats your data and privacy. In no way does it mean your information on Facebook is publicly traded — it just means that you are able to buy a share of the company on the stock market.” Mashable

  50. Remember Everything you publish is there forever, even if you make it private, someone may repost it. BTW, does anyone know facebooks 5 year plan? ; )
