  2. Character • A person or animal which the action happens to. • Hulk, Superman ,Thor

  3. climax • A high point or turning point in the story. • As the monster attacked there was a loud pop when we looked back there he was Superman.

  4. Conflict • A problem or complication in the story. • The guns wouldn’t work an the ducks were coming.

  5. Dialogue • The written conversation between two people. • JT-”I’m beast” Me-”no your not dude”

  6. Entertain • To use writing to amuse the reader. • Guitar hero

  7. Fact • A statement that is true an can be proven. • Kip is the tallest kid on our team.

  8. Main idea • A statement that reflects the gist of the story. • the green hornet- the movie is about a rich kid who decides to save the world.

  9. Opinion • A statement that requires a valued judgment. • The slam is beast!

  10. Plot • The actions and the events in the story. • the story lines of the book.

  11. Symbolism • To use concrete items to represent something. • Examples the night was as brave as a lion.
