  2. In French, to say that something hurts, you use the verb avoir: AVOIR – TO HAVE J’ai I have Tu as You have Il a He has Elle a She has Nous avons We have Ils ont They have (boys) Elles ont They have (girls)

  3. Eg/ J’ai mal à la tête How would you say ‘My leg hurts’? J’ai mal à la jambe

  4. Mais…attention! But…be careful! au à + le aux à + les Eg/ J’ai mal au ventre – my stomach hurts J’ai mal aux yeux – my eyes hurt

  5. Let’s remind ourselves which body parts are masculine, which are feminine and which are plural. Write them in the correct columns: gorge pieds dos main dents nez bouche jambe corps tête oreilles ventre à la à + la au à + le à + les aux
