SlipperySlopeThe Dawn of Man-2012 Remembered By Logan Hickox
Getting to know Slippery Slope through her wordsand actions She falsely assumed that one thing must lead to another. She suggested that if we do one thing then that will lead to another, and before we know it we’ll be doing something that we don’t want to do, and concludes that therefore, we shouldn’t do the first thing. She was great at stirring up emotions with this slippery talk. She never made friends with solid evidence. Her best friend was Speculation. “ If we force public elementary students to wear uniforms, eventually we will require middle school students to wear uniforms. If were require middle school students, high school students aren’t far off. Eventually public colleges will require school uniforms.”
Friends and Family Another friend of Slippery Slope is False Authority. He always assumed one profession knew nothing about the other. They enjoyed hanging around populated areas, assuming false things about others. Faulty Analogies is a distant relative of Slope. Faulty ran into Slope at a conference of irrelevance held at Congress. No family is known to exist. The only insight on the family life, is disowning Slope because at every decision they came to, she threw out a ridiculous outlook on each. They also left because her negativity levels were “through the floor!” “The U.S.. shouldn't get involved militarily in other countries. Once the government sends in a few troops, it will then send in thousands to die."
Her “Areas of Interest” Slope could be found at Congress jumping at every newly-proposed bill. Armed with her mouth, she would give an off-topic speech, i.e. on the topic of abortion or freeing prisoners. She was also fond of school essays, spiraling downwards in the last paragraphs of the what-was-then-brilliant essay, to the off focus, jumping to conclusions in an evidence-giving paragraph.
Quotes from Slope “If you listen to pop music, soon enough you will be listening to Lady Gaga, and will be dressing outrageously. You don’t want to be an outcast to society. So don’t listen to pop music.” “Once we legalize gay marriage…we will lose our morals in our now Godly society.”
