Southwestern U.S. and NW Mexico Regional Carbon Cycling Synthesis Kick-off toward building a community to develop syntheses for this region Rationale: Regional understanding in water-limited ecosystems lacking, area is projected to undergo relatively larger changes in climate, cross-border Mexico-U.S. work needs to happen We discussed potential eddyflux sites (> 40), remote sensing and modeling opportunities. Agreed to develop coordinating proposals, workshops, review articles.
