  4. Key Word: Perpendicular Lines: Lines that intersect to form right angles. Lines are perpendicular, , if the product of their slopes is –1. Example: The slope of the line is the negative reciprocal.

  5. Find the slope of a line perpendicular to the graph of the equation.

  6. Write an equation for the line that is perpendicular to the given line and passes through the given point. When asked for the equation of a line they want it to be in slope-intercept form unless otherwise stated.
