  2. Biography • Born: September 8, 1954, in Corpus Christi, Texas. • He went to San Diego State University. • He is 59 years old.

  3. From 1982 to 1987 he worked as a teacher and during that time he became a professional surfer and ranks as the 9th best surfer in the world. • In 1983 he went to Switzerland to attend a three week workshop in graphic design His teacher Hans-Rudolf Lutz was his first inspiration.

  4. In 1992 publisher Marvin Scott Jarrett hired Carson to design Ray Gun, an alternative music and lifestyle magazine.

  5. In 1995 Carson left Ray Gun to found his own studio, David Carson design, in New York City.
