Supervising Academy Interns Activity Gold Standard 7: Youth understand what to expect from an internship, and what they must contribute to maximize career skill development. Gold Standard 8: An evaluation process of and by employers, youth, educators and parents. Gold Standard 9: Internships are assessed against identified youth interests and learning objectives. Assessment Formal Final Internship Assessment is due before intern last day. Informal Supervisors should schedule weekly check-in meetings to ensure that ongoing feedback and evaluation are provided.
Gold Standard 4: Internships are stated in youth-centered, written, individual learning plans, differentiated for youth skill levels. Gold Standard 6: Internships produce valuable work that furthers employers’ organizational goals. Intern Work Plan Include: • Intern’s hours • Weekly check-in time with supervisor • Goals and projects your department (reference position description) • Tasks the intern will need to perform to complete each project/goal • Expected timeline to guide pacing and work load Submit work plan on [date] to [Internship Coordinator].
