Simple Sentence • Has one subject and one predicate

Example: David Beckham lives in Los Angeles, California. Ms. Barry looking out the window.

Compound Sentence • Contains two or more simple sentences joined by a comma and a coordinating conjunction or by a semicolon.

Run-on Sentences • Two or more sentences incorrectly written as one sentence.
