Housing • Housing accommodations vary across sites. • Housing Needs Survey • Complete as part of your 3rd year registration • Critical to know: • If you are bringing anyone with you. • If you are willing to share housing with person of opposite sex. • Notify the School of Medicine immediately if your needs change.
Call & Pagers • Call varies from site to site • As often as every third night though less in many sites • If this is of concern, contact the site coordinator for updated information • Bring your pager and/or cell phone if it will work; this is NOT required • Sites often provide pagers when needed
Duty Hours / Absence Policy • Duty Hours and Absence Policy are similar to all other third-year clerkships • Details are on our web site • Communicate time off needs before the start of the clerkship, after reading policy • Few exceptions made except for personal emergencies • Expect to be in clinic the entire last week • Sites determine whether you work on UW holidays (as with all clerkships).
