In this world many technologies appear and change many things in our life television is one of these important things and like any technology it has many disadvantages such as Violence.
People need to ask themselves several questions. Do all the violence acts that children view on television cause them to commit crimes in their later lives? Are the effects of watching TV violence brief or lasting? Is TV as important a factor in fostering societal violence as economic poverty, bad schools and broken homes?
simply the answer of these questions that television can be a powerful influence in developing value systems and behavior in children. Unfortunately, much of today’s television programming is violent.
By age 18, the average young person will have viewed 200,000 acts of violence on TV. Research shows a very strong link between TV violence and violent behavior in children and teenagers.
Watching a lot of violence on TV can lead to fear, depression, nightmares, sleep problems and posttraumatic stress disorder. It is best not to let our children watch violent programs and violence in cartoons.
Sometimes the problem is not too much weight; it's too little, and that can be if we use T.V in a good way. There is some practical ways to make TV-viewing more productive in our home:
*Limit the number of TV-watching hours, children watch no more than two hours of television a day.*Preview programs before our kids watch them.
*Watch TV together.*Talk to kids about what they see on TV and share our own beliefs and values.
It is certainly true that television violence does influence children and it causes them to act aggressively. This fact makes them, and the violent content of television, worthy of our attention.
