Server Team • Determine what system components we would need to run the application and if they are supported on the Raspberry Pi • Once you have the components identified, look for any tips or tricks to get them running smoothly on the platform • To get you started, we would need a web server.
App Team • Start to identify the components of the application and what we should include • For example, we would probably want social media integration. • Search for some samples of 'digital signage' as a guide. • Once you have all the components, determine if they are supported in HTML5 or Javascript.
UI Team • Begin to identify the 'look and feel' of the application • The GUI (Graphical User Interface) is a key component of the application. • Do some research on creating effective GUIs. • What colors should we use, which are most appealing to the eye? • What about icons and fonts? • Understand that some of the principles of UI design probably won't matter for our initial communications application
