  2. Introduction Teenage drug use is a major issue in the United States. The five most widely used drugs are: • Marijuana • Prescription Drugs • Ecstasy • Cocaine, Heroine • Inhalants

  3. Scenario…. By abusing drugs, especially in adolescence and teenage years, the lives of the abusers are placed in peril and possibly ruined. Let’s say for instance that a boy will be graduating soon and going to college. One day he is influenced by some of his drug using friends to try the drug, heroine. By just using the drug this one time, he has become addicted. From then on, the only thing he is concentrating on is the need for more drugs. His future has now been extremely compromised.

  6. If teens abusing drugs get the proper guidance and care, then the United States will lose less of its youth to crime.
