The Great Evangelistic Command • Matthew 28:19-20 -- Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

2 Timothy 2:24 • “The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged….”
The Role Of The Learner • Psalm 78:1 – “Listen, O my people, to my instruction; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth….”
Proverbs 4:13 • “Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is you life….”
Teaching Them To Do What? • TEREO – to guard, to watch closely, to keep an eye on, to observe carefully • What is the duty of a disciple? To keep the commands of Jesus.
What Should We Observe? • Jesus’ commandments • No longer the Jewish covenant • No longer human creeds • No longer traditions of men • But Divine precepts
What is the Christian walk? • Ephesians 4:11-13 – “…And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”
