  1. Jesús nos habla por medio de sus: Jesus speaks to us through his: "El amigo a la media noche" "The friend at midnight" Parábolas… Parables…

  2. Jesús nos ha enseñado de muchas maneras: Jesus has been teaching in different ways: El habló sobre: He spoke about: 1. El reino de los cielos... 1. The kindom of heaven. 2. Del amor al pecador.. 2. The love toward the sinners.. 3. De el trabajo individual nuestro.. 3. Our own individual work. Hoy nos quiere hablar de algo muy importante: Now he wants to talk to us about something really important:

  3. La oración... Prayer...

  5. Luke 11:1-13. Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples." So He said to them, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one." And He said to them, "Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him'; And he will answer from within and say, 'Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you'? I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs. "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"

  6. Comencemos notando primero... Let's start by noticing first... Un discipulo ve a Jesús orar y luego quiere aprender. A disciple saw Jesus praying and feels the desire to learn how to pray.

  7. ¿Oraba Jesús? Veamos lo que dice la Biblia… Let’s See what the Bible says… Did Jesus Pray? Jesús oraba muy de mañana Jesus prayed very early in the morning Mar. 1:35

  8. Otras veces se iba al desierto. Other times he would go to the desert. Luc. 5:16

Before choosing the disciples, he prayed all night. Luc. 6:12-13

  10. Su oración más hermosa: His most precious prayer: Juan - 17 - John

  11. Su oracion mas triste: His most saddest prayer: Luc. 22:39-46 Getsemaní Gethsemane

  12. Luc. 23:34,46 Antes de morir también oró. Before dying, he also prayed.

  13. Jesús era ejemplo de oración. Jesus was an example in prayer. ¿Como Constesta Jesús? How does Jesus answer? And a disciple asks him to teach him.

  14. Veamos... Let's see... La llamada oración modelo. The called model prayer. So He said to them, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one."

  15. Las palabras "vosotros pues" The words "then you say" Nos dan a indicar que solo es un ejemplo lo que Jesús está dando. These words are telling us that what Jesus is saying is only an example on how to pray. El orar es algo sencillo... Praying must be simple... Matt.6:9. Dios no escucha el palabrerío de nadie. God won't listen to anybody that uses vain words. Matt.6:7-8.

  16. "La oración del Señor fue solo una ilustración, de lo mal que los hombres han estado orando a Dios" Jesus' prayer was only an illustration to show us how badly man has been praying to God. En la oración de Jesús es bueno notar: In Jesus prayer it is good to notice: • La brevedad de las palabras…Luc.11:2-4. • 1. The brevity of the words. Luk.11:2-4. Siempre recordemos que en el orar hay un "QUE" Always remember that in prayer there is a "WHAT"

  17. ¿Por qué pedir? What to ask for? 1. Siempre demos reverencia a su nombre. 1. Alway give reverence to his name. Luke.11:2. 2. Oremos porque el reino crezca. 2. Pray so the kindom may grow. Luke.11:2 3. Orar por las necesidades fisícas. 3. Pray for the phisical needs. Luke.11:3. 4. Que perdone nuestros pecados. 4. To forgive our sins. Luke.11:4 Luke.11:4 5. Que nos aparte de la tentación. 5. So he can keep us out of temptation.

  18. En Mateo 6:14,15 el foco principal de Jesús en la oración fue: In Mattew 6:14,15 the principal focus of Jesus was: Perdonar a otros... To forgive others... Pero en Lucas la enseñanza es: But in luke the teaching is: To persist. La importunidad.

  19. La parábola... The parable... 5Les dijo también: ¿Quién de vosotros que tenga un amigo, va a él a medianoche y le dice: Amigo, préstame tres panes, 6porque un amigo mío ha venido a mí de viaje, y no tengo qué ponerle delante; And He said to them, "Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him'; ¿Cuantas veces te has encontrado en esta situación? How many times have you been in this situation?

  20. En muchos paises esto es normal... In many countries this is normal... Neighbors know each others and are consider friends manytimes...

And he will answer from within and say, 'Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you'? In the middle east country this is very common...

I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs. importunidad persistence

"So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. What Jesus wants from us is to be like these man.

  24. Jesús dijo que solo esos que: Jesus said that only those who: Ask... Piden... Todo comienza por pedir... Everything starts by asking...

  25. Jesús dijo que solo esos que: Jesus said that only those who: Buscan... Seek... Luego viene el deceo de "buscar" Then comes the desire to seek.

  26. Jesús dijo que solo esos que: Jesus said that only those who: Llaman... Knock Cuando pedimos, buscamos y llamamos es cuando: When we ask, seek and knock is when we:

  27. Encontramos. We find. Pedid, y se os dará; buscad, y hallaréis; llamad, y se os abrirá. ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Failure to be persistant, is the cause for many prayers not to be answered... Necesitamos recordar: We need to keep in mind:

  29. A quien le estamos pidiendo. To whom are we asking. Luke.11:11-13. Para animarnos Jesús nos da la siguiente comparación: To encourage us Jesus give us the next comparison. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? tres cosas comunes... three common things

  30. Pan---Piedra. Bread--Stone. Pescado---Serpiente. Fish---Snake. Huevo---Escorpión. Egg---Scorpion.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" ¿Cuánto más vuestro Padre celestial? How much more will your heavenly Father ?

Jesus says that if we persist God will give us anything... Aún el Espíritu Santo.. Even the Holy Spirit.. ¿En qué sentido? In what way? Jn.7:37,38. Act.2:38,39.

  33. ¿Cuantas veces al día oras hermano? How many times per day do you pray brother? Ya vimos los ejemplos de Jesús. We already saw Jesus’ example. Una, dos o tres veces? One two or three times? Daniel oraba tres veces al día.. Daniel pray three times a day.. Daniel 6:10. Elías también. Elijah too. James 5:17.

  34. ¿Somos nosotros importunos en la oración? Are we persistant in prayer? Do we pray so God can give us his blessings?
