  2. Causes for female crime • Lombroso looked at the biological causes of female crime but has been widely been discredited. • Female crime has increased by 25% from 2003 to 2006. Alder (1975) argues that this is related to the increased to female liberation. • However Smart criticises Alder due to the lack increase in adult crime. • Increase in female police officers which in turn meaning female crime reported and recorded. This is because female police officers have lack of chivalry factor

  3. As in this study, there has been a significant increase in female crime.

  5. Most crimes committed by females • Females were more likely to commit petty crimes such as theft ,assault. • The peak of female crime is 15 years whilst males is 21 years.
