TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS • Student needs to ask teacher in person first. • Student should provide whatever information teacher requests (resume, questionnaire, etc) in addition to deadlines. • Students must add teachers on Naviance Student. If teachers are not added, they will be unable to upload to the student account!!!!! • Encourage student to THANK their recommender and keep them posted with decisions!!
Requesting Teacher Recommendations **Note – Many schools have limits as to how many recommendations they will accept. This number is posted on the Common App.
APPLICATION • Applications are found online. They are either available through the school’s website or the school uses the Common Application. • The application, associated application fee, essays, etc. all need to be completed by the student. • Encourage your student to use a computer and not a mobile device. • Encourage your student to allow an adult to review their application and essay(s).
Matching Common Application and Naviance Student • The student’s Naviance Student Account and Common App account must be “MATCHED” so that they are electronically linked. Without this matching, counselors are unable to send any materials for Common App schools. To Match Accounts
