  2. Introduction : In recent days , the terms cryptocurrency , bitcoins,ethereum , blockchain , ICO ,STO ,tokens are pronounced in high volume . The importance of cryptocurrency is well understood by huge amount of people and this makes new implements and improvements in crypto world . In this , let us discuss about security token an important aspect for the STO process . STO is a kind of crowdfund technique that pushes down ICO .

  3. Security Token : The token that passes the howey's test is considered as Security Token . It allows the investors to claim for a profit /share after the launch of STO process . Token is a key that makes one to launch a ICO or STO . The nature of token decides whether the fundraising is ICO or STO . If a fundraising involves the crowdsale of utility token ,then it is termed as ICO . If it involves security token then it is termed as STO .

  4. Types Of Security Tokens : There are three types of security token according to the nature of tokens. They are • Equity Token • Reserve Assets Token • Debt Token Each token has different characteristics and functionalities .This makes the marketing ways differ for each of them .

Security Token - Types: Equity Token: The tokens which are filled up by the stock in the issuer company ,so that the investors who owns these tokens have equal rights to that company's actual stockholders in terms of votings and dividend issuance . Reserve Assets Token : The tokens that are backed by reserve of assets like Gold ,Real Estate ,etc ., are used by companies that trade the said assets to launch their STO are termed as reserve assets token .

  6. Security Token - Types: Debt Token : The tokens that doesnot hold stocks or reserve assets , but involves the promise by the issuer for the payback to the investors , is known as debt tokens .
