Agenda Company History Core Business Details of major services
Company history 1976 - Started by designing & building retail petrol stations & bulk fuel storage depots 1996 – Switched to full time diagnostic testing of tanks, lines & vapour recovery systems 2004 – Designed and built our first mobile tank cleaning machine 2006 –Added road tanker inspection & testing to our core business 2009 – E&S Merge with the Adler & Allan group
Core Business • Fuel Additives • Inspection video camera • Leak detection in underground pipework • Vapour Recovery Testing • Road tanker testing • Tank & Line testing • Mobile tank cleaning & fuel maintenance
E&S Fuel Additives • Improves combustion • Reduces carbon deposits • Reduces gums & resins • Improves spray patterns • Reduces smoke emissions • Reduces mechanical wear • Extends filter & component life • Lowers fuel consumption • Cleans injectors & nozzles • Improves power output
Inspection Video Camera • Intrinsically safe fibre optic camera • Used in pipelines and underground fuel tanks • High resolution pictures – pinpoints areas of corrosion or decay • Permanent record of pipe/tank condition • …
Leak Detection • Pinpoints exact location of leak in the underground pipework • Saves unnecessary excavations and site disruption • Gas injected in pipe detected at point of escape by ‘sniffer’ on surface • Major time & money saver
Stage 1&2 Vapour Recovery Testing • Vapour recovery systems tested – Stage 1b & stage 2 – full repair .. maintenance service • All parts carried on the vehicles to avoid any re-visits • All Vehicles fitted with a ‘cherry picker’ or scaffold to meet working at • height regulations
Road Tanker Testing • Full UKAS accreditation against ISO17020 ref. CDG 2007 (SI 1573) • Department of Transport appointed Type A Inspection Body • covering: • DR6 (old tanks) DR5/ADR (new tanks), 6-year hydraulic tests
Tank & Line Testing • Use MassTech system – world renowned science based technology • Can test any liquid at any level in the tank – full to empty • Routinely tests for leaks @ 0.083 litres per hour (2 litres per day), • much less than the standard of 0.38 litres per hour (9 litres per day) • Only system to have EPA certification for line testing
Mobile tank cleaning • E&S designed & built units • Safe, reliable and highly effective • Vehicle mounted with all necessary ancillary equipment • Incorporates – water separator, rust particle remover, up to 10 filters …that, graduated down to 2&3 micron • High pumping capacity • Sight glasses for visual inspection • Waste material safely removed & disposed off site • Machines range from 3,000 to 84,000 litres per hour
Mobile tank cleaning machines 3,000 litres per hour 7,000 litres per hour 84,000 litres per hour
Mobile Tank Cleaning • Mobile tank cleaning machine – removes water, sludge and other .. ….contaminants • Restores fuel to pristine condition • Use of a fuel biocide to kill off bacterial growth • Cleans tank and lines at the same time • Important tanks are water free at all times • …
Mobile tank cleaning • Lines pigged & backflushed • Filters cleaned • ACV filter kits inserted as additional protection • Nozzle filters, ‘witches hats’, gaskets cleaned or replaced
PPM Tank Maintenance • Follow up maintenance programme recommended • Typically every six months • Water free certificate issued following inspection, water • removal and clean • Re-dose with de-watering agent • Data base management • Confidential access to E&S web site for all certificates & documentation
